Presenter Bio:

With a 25-year career rooted in the high-stakes world of military aviation, Alistair Cowin is an expert in engineering safety into critical systems. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer with an MSc in Safety Critical Systems, he has moved beyond simply designing safe systems to focusing on making risk understandable for the people who face it daily. Presentation Synopsis:

Are you confident your client’s safety controls will hold up under pressure? This presentation gives you the tools to be certain. We'll explore the 'why' behind powerful Bowtie analysis, master the 'how' of building them for real-world scenarios using rules for good bowties. Armed with this we will then explore how you can challenge your clients to demonstrate a proactive and resilient safety system through Critical Control Management (CCM) and Barrier Health.
