Rachael Cowin - Legitimate Leadership Intl. Ltd

Presenter Bio: 

Rachael Cowin is a principal consultant for Legitimate Leadership Int Ltd, she works with organisations to help them transform their culture with a focus on Leadership Excellence.

Having graduated in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in the UK, Rachael spent over 20 years in the chemical industry with Johnson Matthey. She specialised in engineering project management and led teams to deliver change in high-volume, high-pressure manufacturing environments. As a member of the site leadership team Rachael embraced the people agenda and married her technical capabilities with an extremely strong leadership ethos, spending over 10 years in industry applying the Legitimate Leadership framework.

In 2016 Rachael became an independent consultant; in addition to Legitimate Leadership she now focusses on faciliating safety studies, training and communication of safety in engaging formats.

Presentation Synopsis:

Rachael will cover some background to the Legitimate Leadership Framework, work she has done to identify what Safety Leadership Excellence looks like, some interviews Rachael conducted to 'lift the veil' on what is really going on and conclude with some thoughts on diagnosing the state of leadership in an organisation.
